Moses Baskets

The baskets are made from elephant grass which grows abundantly in the northern territory of Ghana. The colours are achieved using natural, non-toxic dyes and the handles are reinforced with cured leather. Due to the handmade nature of the Moses baskets, each one is unique and may vary slightly in size, design and colour. Length is between 72cm and 76cm and width is between 39cm and 42cm. Made-to-measure mattresses are sold separately and  conform to BS 1877 part 10, 2011 + A1 2012.

The Wanderer Moses baskets are designed as a supervised sleeping device for newborns. Once your baby can roll over, push up or crawl, seek alternative bedding. Place your baby on their backs to reduce the risk of SIDS.

Use only the mattress provided, as this has been designed to fit the dimensions of your individual basket.

Always place your basket on a firm and flat surface and never use it as a carryng device. It is recommended that you place the handles of the basket in an outward position when the basket is in use and remove any tags.

Always keep your basket away from hazards such as fire/flames, heaters, stoves, window blinds, cords etc.

Please allow 3 business days for processing your order and between 4 and 10 days for shipping, depending on your country.

The Wanderer is not responsible for any additional charges or customs fees once your package has reached your country.

Returns Policy

We are confident you will be 100% satisfied with your basket because we personally inspect each one to ensure quality. Therefore all sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged. If your basket arrives damaged please contact us within 2 days of receiving your order. If damage is not reported within this period we cannot file a claim and therefore cannot credit you for the damaged item.

Reshaping your basket

For ease of transportation, your basket may arrive out of shape. However reshaping it couldn't be easier. Simply wet the affected area either by dunking in water or spraying with water. Then reshape area by hand while pressing the base of the basket into the floor. Finally leave the basket to dry in the sun or under a fan indoors.
